Begin your IELTS Preparation with Systematic approach

Hello Jully,

I am a software Engineer and I have just cleared my IELTS exam this month. I know when it comes to IELTS preparation then its very hard to decide from where we should begin unless you have a good tutor or instructor. I would like to share the approach which I followed till my IELTS Exam.

My approach is simple and convenient to follow as I recommend to a systematic line of action for your preparation. I would suggest to decide a target date before preparation as it give a feel of dead line. As you know we have four section in the exam so pick atleast two at a time. I made two combinations,, first  Reading & Writing and second, Listening and Speaking. These combinations have a logical connection which  makes your preparation quick. Reading and Writing combination helps to collect thoughts from reading passages and use in writing sections where Listening and Speaking combination helps to prepare your mind to speak as you listen.

Now you can select any combination and devote two hours daily without break. I believe discipline and consistency is important factors to consider. You should reward and punish yourselves for devotion and inconsistency respectively.

This is the first blog and here I have suggested, how you can begin your preparation yourself. I will write couple of more blogs which will help you to plan and organize your Exam preparation.
